Module: CT08: CT Contrast Media

Module Description: Audience: All medical professionals interested in learning about CT.
Prerequisites: It is suggested that you follow the order of the series.
This audio-visual/webcast presentation provided by Philips Medical Systems Clinical Education Department provides an overview of CT Contrast Media. This video will identify various types of contrast media used in CT, describe the properties of different contrast media, how contrast media is selected for use, describe screening methods and the methods of administration. Additional registry review topics include patient preparation, contrast media side effects and reactions, and basic methods of treatment for contrast reactions. This video presentation is given by Wilbur Reddinger, M.S., R.T., (R), (CT).
