Course: ASRT Authored Courses, Purchase Again Not For Credit, Radiology-Departmental Topics

Module: Radiation Protection

Module Description: In an era of digital imaging and advanced technology, the responsibility for radiation dose is shared by the physician who orders a study or treatment, the radiologic technologist who obtains the medical image or provides treatment and the facility that oversees the process. To optimize dose, it takes a partnership and understanding of radiation biology and how it affects the risks and benefits inherent in medical ionizing radiation. This course provides the latest information on how radiation protection aids patients, R.T.s and future generations.
