Module Description: In an era of digital imaging and advanced technology, the responsibility for radiation dose is shared by the physician who orders a study or treatment, the radiologic technologist who obtains the medical image or provides treatment and the facility that oversees the process. To optimize dose, it takes a partnership and understanding of radiation biology and how it affects the risks and benefits inherent in medical ionizing radiation.
