"So, How Does It Work?"

If you are a first-time user of the Learning Center, you will need to click on the "Register" button to register and obtain a password. There is no charge to register; however we need your demographic information to maintain your continuing education records and certificates.

“What if I registered before but forgot my log-in information?”

No problem – if you remember your email address that you used to register please enter it under “Forgot Password?” and your password will be immediately sent to your email address. If you cannot remember what email address you used when you registered, please call 1-800-692-4295 but please do not register again!

"Once I Log-in, What Can I Do?"
We have an incredible search feature that allows you to locate courses pertaining to your area of expertise or an area where you would like to gain more expertise.

The Learning Center can provide you with a number of learning experiences including the basic text with images all the way up to the newest technology of web casts, archived lectures, multimedia, and everything in between.

Text with images.

Movie in combination with text and/or images.

WebCast using Real and Windows Media.

Courses contained on CD.

Case Studies.

You have the ability to search by any number of criteria including:

Registry, Course Category, Matching Word, Title or Partial Title, Icon or you can view all the courses at once.

Or you can browse the course catalog categories and look for a subject of interest.

“What do I do when I find a course of interest?”

By clicking on the course title in the catalog, you can read specifics about a particular course, including course descriptions, number of credits assigned, accrediting entity or sponsor, author, price, etc. You can then purchase (Check Out) a course using our real-time secure credit card transaction server, which provides you with printable receipts for your records.

“What happens after I purchase the course? How do I get my credits?”

Once you have purchased a course you will have access to the test for up to six (6) months depending on the expiration date of the course. So be sure to look to see how much time you have to take the test in the course description. Your access allows you to take the test a maximum of three (3) times. If you do not pass the test in three tries, you will no longer have access to the course content. Once the test has been passed, you can view or print your certificate for up to four (4) years.

Once you have successfully completed your course, you will be supplied with an official certificate, which you can access at any time and print when needed for your records or to supply to your registry when required.

Radiologic Technologists who are members of the ASRT will have their credits electronically transferred upon successful completion of a course. Please note that if you take SDMS accredited courses you will need to print the certificate out and mail or fax to the ASRT. The ASRT database does not contain the accreditation number assigned by the SDMS so they will need to manually record it in your profile.
